CAPITALIST has sired 59 Stakes Horses to date, 13% 2YO stakes horses to runners.

This colt is out of a 4-time winning mare (2 metro) up to 1600m who placed twice in Gr3 company and once at Listed level. She’s out of a Group performer and her grand Dam was a Gr1 and Gr2 winner.

Trainer

TONY & CALVIN MCEVOY

The 2025 Cups Double Winners
McEvoy Mitchell Racing was established in 2010 and has since grown into one of Australia’s most respected training operations. In 2019, Tony and his son Calvin joined forces, and by 2021 had opened a state-of-the-art training centre at Ballarat. Most recently, the team has expanded again with the addition of a new yard at Flemington Racecourse, cementing their presence at the heart of Australian racing.

Together, Tony and Calvin combine tradition and innovation, experience and ambition — offering every horse in their care the best possible opportunity to succeed.

Tony McEvoy
Tony brings a lifetime of horsemanship to the stable. He began his career as an apprentice jockey, riding a Group 1 winner, before turning to training, where his grounding in horsemanship has been pivotal to his success. As Head Trainer of the Lindsay Park Racing empire in South Australia from 2001 to 2005, Tony guided the careers of champions such as dual Cox Plate winner Fields Of Omagh. He later established his own successful operation at Kildalton Park in Angaston, winning 10 State Metropolitan Training Premierships across South Australia and Victoria. His achievements have recently been recognised with induction into the South Australian Racing Hall of Fame.

Calvin McEvoy
Calvin represents the next generation of elite trainers. He has worked extensively across the industry, gaining experience with Lindsay Park Racing, Coolmore Australia, and in the UK as pupil assistant to David Simcock at Newmarket, the historic home of racing. Upon returning to Australia, Calvin quickly took on key responsibilities, overseeing the development of McEvoy Mitchell’s purpose-built Ballarat training centre. His international knowledge, modern approach, and hands-on horsemanship bring a fresh dimension to the partnership.
