60% AVAILABLE! A FABULOUS SPECIMEN FROM A MARE WE KNOW SO WELL!

HALF-BROTHER TO OUR VERY SMART HORSE, GOLD REVOLVER. BROKE IN WELL!

What a ripper… we were very keen on this Pierata colt who is a half brother to our very smart horse GOLD REVOLVER our winner of 4 city races in Melbourne and Sydney.

That’s just the tip of the iceberg with this guy’s family. He is closey related to the likes of REY MAGNERIO, MAGNAPAL, MAGNASPIN, RED FOR LOU, LE CHEF etc.

Lots to like there and he won’t be available for long with many of Gold Revolver’s owners getting involved.

Peter Moody and Kat Coleman train this guy.

Sire

PIERATA is a high-quality Australian-bred stallion by Pierro out of the Redoute’s Choice mare November Flight, combining two of the most influential sirelines in the modern Australian stud book. Trained by Greg Hickman, he built a reputation as a tough, consistent sprinter–miler, competing at the elite level across multiple seasons. His race record stands at 26 starts for 9 wins, 7 seconds, and 2 thirds, earning approximately A$5.8 million, highlighted by his Group 1 victory in the All Aged Stakes (1400m). He also captured key races such as the G2 Missile Stakes, G2 The Shorts, G3 Sydney Stakes, Magic Millions Guineas, and G3 Vo Rogue Plate, while placing in several Group 1 races including the Randwick Guineas and Galaxy.

On the track, Pierata was defined by durability and high-level consistency, regularly matching Australia’s top sprinters and milers. He performed competitively against elite opposition throughout his career, often finishing strongly in high-pressure races and rarely running poorly. His ability to sustain form over multiple preparations, combined with his versatility from 1100m to 1600m, made him a reliable Group-class performer and ultimately a deserving Group 1 winner after multiple placings at the highest level.

At stud, Pierata stands at Aquis Farm in Queensland and has made a promising start with his early runners. His best progeny to date include Coleman, a Group-winning juvenile who placed in both the Golden Slipper and Sires’ Produce Stakes, and Tobeornottobe, winner of the G3 Thoroughbred Breeders Stakes. He has also produced several other stakes performers such as Fearless, Wave Breaker, Red Sea, Midnight Dynamite, and Perfectly Proper. With a solid winners-to-runners strike rate and early stakes success, Pierata is establishing himself as an emerging sire of speed and precocity, with scope to produce top-level performers as his progeny mature.

Dam

GOLDYLUX was unable to win as a racehorse but placed 3 times from 7 starts. She’s had two to race, one being our boy GOLD REVOLVER who win 4 City races. She’s a half sister to Gr3 and Listed winner, MAGNAPAL making her very closely related to RAY MAGNERIO, MAGNASPIN, RED FOR LOU, LE CHEF etc.
