A COLT WITH A STUNNING APPEAL BY A STALLION WITH A STRIKE RATE OF ALMOST 50%

The first thing you’ll notice about this striking Hellbent (by I Am Invincible) colt we picked up at the Adelaide Magic Millions Yearling Sale is his colour. A rich mix of brown and grey makes him a real standout.

Then you’ll be taken by his presence, he has a genuine X appeal! He moves like a panther with a beautiful flowing walk and has good size about him, especially for a late foal. Hellbent has done a remarkable job during his short time at Stud. He just notched up his 100th individual winner for the Season and from just 206 runners… a Strike rate of 48.5%. In Addition, his progeny has won almost $7.5mil so far.

This colt hails from a quality Black type family, with Stakes winning, Gr.1 placed, HAPPY HIPPY close up in the pedigree, as well as Stakes winner, MY NIKITA and going back to the speedy Gr.1 winner, NOTOIRE.

Trained by Group One winning trainer, Nathan Doyle, he will have every chance to make the racehorse we think he can become.

Sire

HELLBENT With stakes winners in all four crops of racing age, including two G1 winners from his first crop, Hellbent has been a revelation as a Stallion.

Four starts in Gr1’s and never worse than fourth. He was very unlucky in 2017 William Reid & 2018 Oakleigh Plate. His form was impeccable in every G1 he contested. His recent win in the William Reid was unbelievable considering they slowed mid race, and he had to come right around them. Craig Williams was astounded that he could finish so brilliantly considering the race didn’t really pan out for him.

Hellbent is a magnificent looking dark bay horse standing 16hh. His turn of foot is his greatest asset and his similarities to his father are uncanny. His pedigree is interesting as he has a double cross of Green Desert which has been very successful cross. We believe he perfectly fits the criteria we look for in choosing stallions, being an explosive sprinter by a top sire and having a tough colonial dam line.

G1-winning sprinter. Winner of seven races from 1000m to 1200m from two to five, and of more than $900,000 in prizemoney, including the 2018 G1 William Reid Stakes (1200m) in near record time; second in the 2017 G1 William Reid Stakes (1200m), third in the G1 Oakleigh Plate to Russian Revolution, Listed BR Crowley Stakes (1200m), Listed GH Mumm Stakes (1000m) and Listed Kensington Stakes (1000m).

Hellbent has done a remarkable job during his short time at Stud. He just notched up his 100th individual winner for the Season and from just 206 runners… a Strike rate of 48.5%. In Addition, his progeny have won almost $7.5mil so far.

Dam

GLASGOW GREY A Daughter of Mastercraftsman, Glasgow Grey was placed at 2 and 3. She is a half sister to Stakes winning, Gr.1 placed, HAPPY HIPPY, as well as Stakes winner, MY NIKITA and going back to the speedy Gr.1 winner, NOTOIRE. This is her fourth living foal. Her third foal is a 2YO. Her second foal is an unraced 3YO. Dam of one foal to race- Scotalotofgrunt (g by Grunt). Placed in 2024-25.
