IF A HORSE WERE TO HAVE SEX APPEAL, THIS GUY IS GEORGE CLOONEY!
We purchased Lot 140 from the Inglis Classic ’26, a HELLBENT Colt out of a Group winning Redoute’s Choice mare. His grandam is the multiple Gr1 winning Australian Champion filly, REGIMENTAL GAL and his 3/4 sister was Stakes placed.
A quality colt from a quality family. He’s a lovely cut of a horse and has incredible X Factor.
Then consider he’s in the hands of the “Stallion Maker” Mick Price.
Sire
HELLBENT – With stakes winners in all four crops of racing age, including two G1 winners from his first crop, Hellbent has been a revelation as a Stallion.
Four starts in Gr1’s and never worse than fourth. He was very unlucky in 2017 William Reid & 2018 Oakleigh Plate. His form was impeccable in every G1 he contested. His recent win in the William Reid was unbelievable considering they slowed mid race, and he had to come right around them. Craig Williams was astounded that he could finish so brilliantly considering the race didn’t really pan out for him.
Hellbent is a magnificent looking dark bay horse standing 16hh. His turn of foot is his greatest asset and his similarities to his father are uncanny. His pedigree is interesting as he has a double cross of Green Desert which has been very successful cross. We believe he perfectly fits the criteria we look for in choosing stallions, being an explosive sprinter by a top sire and having a tough colonial dam line.
G1-winning sprinter. Winner of seven races from 1000m to 1200m from two to five, and of more than $900,000 in prizemoney, including the 2018 G1 William Reid Stakes (1200m) in near record time; second in the 2017 G1 William Reid Stakes (1200m), third in the G1 Oakleigh Plate to Russian Revolution, Listed BR Crowley Stakes (1200m), Listed GH Mumm Stakes (1000m) and Listed Kensington Stakes (1000m). Hellbent has done a remarkable job during his short time at Stud. He just notched up his 100th individual winner for the Season and from just 206 runners… a Strike rate of 48.5%. In Addition, his progeny have won almost $7.5mil so far.
Dam
LILLIBURLERO was a Gr3 winner, also placed at Gr.2 and twice at Gr.3 level. She’s produced 4 to race for 3 winners including. Stakes placed REGIMENTAL BAND. Her dam is dual Gr.1 winner, REGIMENTAL GAL – Champion 3yo Filly in Australia 2003-04.
