The colt has been spelling at Cavallo Park in North Richmond for 3 weeks now after having his first preparation at Tulloch Lodge in Randwick to have a look around and experience stable life. He has been pencilled in for 13th September to resume pre-training to give him his chance to contest the 2022 Inglis Millenium in February, all going to plan.
Gai & Adrian’s training comments of 27.07.21: “I think he’s a nice type and has a good idea. Your colt is delighting us, and he continues to tick all the right boxes this time in. We will soon start introducing him to the barriers to get him used to being in and around the structure, and we will keep you updated with his progress”.
Gai Waterhouse and Adrian Bott (trainer) comments: delighted to be training this Russian Revolution colt for Blueblood. Really athletic style of colt. Really love his profile. Love the way that he moves, he has a lovely action to him, he’s got some great length. Really nice, nice attitude to him, he’s handled the sale preparation really well. Looking forward to getting him into the stable to train. I think he’s a nice athletic type and certainly give the guys a lot of fun.
David Mourad (BBT Racing Manager) comments: he looks a sharp, sprinter/miler type of a horse. Lot of speed and stamina on the page. I’ve seen a lot of the Russian Revolution’s and I think, just like Snitzel, he’s going to get plenty of 2YO’s. So we will give this boy every chance to get up and run early. He’s got a beautiful fluent action to him. Trained by Gai Waterhouse and Adrian Bott at Randwick, so he’ll have every chance.
The colt passed 100% clean on his scope, x-ray and clinical examination.

Trainers: GAI WATERHOUSE AND ADRIAN BOTT
Gai has gone on to achieve as much as humanly possible with racehorses. While many would rest on their laurels after such success, Gai simply wants to win more and more. Owners can rest assured that the Lady Trainer wants to win races just as much if not more than they do! Confirmation of this dedication to excellence came after just fifteen years of training when Gai was inducted into the Australian Racing Hall of Fame (2007). As we stand, in just over 20 years of training, Gai has amassed over 135 Group One wins and currently sits third on the all-time list (Group One winners) behind T.J. Smith and Bart Cummings.
By far Gai’s greatest achievements have been recorded in the best races of the year in both Melbourne and Sydney. Gai has won Sydney’s two best races, the Golden Slipper and Doncaster Handicap six and seven times respectively. Gai is by far the most successful trainer ever in the Sydney Spring. ‘Make hay while the sun shines’ is a phrase one often can hear Gai quoting. This attitude is reflected by Gai’s results in the best races contested during the Sydney Spring Carnival. The Flight Stakes (7 wins), the Epsom Handicap (7 wins) and the Metropolitan Handicap (8 wins) have become races at the mercy of Gai each and every year.
Gai gives each and every horse that comes into her care every possible chance to succeed. Only six horses in the history of Sydney racing have won the two-year-old Triple Crown and Gai has trained two of them (Dance Hero 2004 and Pierro 2012). Gai in fact has won more Group One races for two-year-olds than any other trainer.
