TWO SIGNIFICANT PEDIGREE UPDATES MAKE THIS EXCEPTIONAL STAY INSIDE FILLY, A NO BRAINER!
We absolutely loved this filly by Gr1 Golden Slipper winner and freshman sire, STAY INSIDE and were stoked to have come away with her from Inglis Classic ’25.
The Stay Inside filly arrived safely out at Cavallo Park yesterday afternoon to commence a spell. As you can see from the video update below from Matt Vella, she did a terrific job throughout her breaking in preparation, and she is now a very well-educated young horse. She can have 4 weeks in the paddock to think about what she has learned while she continues to grow, mature and develop.
We’ve struck gold since the purchase seeing her 2yo half sister TO CAP IT ALL winning a Listed race prior to going on to be placed in a Gr.2 then the Gr.1 Sistema Stakes in NZ at her next two starts.
In addition, the lightly raced 4yo half sister to our filly, Miss Personality debuted with a placing in town before going for a spell, then returned with 2 consecutive wins at her next and only starts.
The unraced 3yo half sister won a trial and should be hitting the track soon.
So basically, we have virtually a free shy at the stumps with her racing career because win, lose or draw, she wont be losing value from her purchase price.
Physically, this STAY INSIDE filly cannot be faulted. She oozes class, has definite X Factor and will more than likely be an early 2yo. To cap it off, she is headed to Michael Freedman who trained STAY INSIDE to Golden Slipper Victory.

OH MY MIMI by Snitzel is a winner over 1000m. She is the daughter of the lightning fast MIMI LE BROCK who win twice as a 2yo, one of those wins the RL Magic Millions 2yo Classic. She won a Gr2, Gr3 and Listed race and was placed twice in Gr1 company as well at Gr2 and Gr3 level.
The pedigree attached to her Inglis Classic Sales page showed she had 3 foals with one to race for a placing. Since then her 2yo by Capitalist TO CAP IT ALL has won a Listed race prior to going on to be placed in a Gr.2 then the Gr.1 Sistema Stakes in NZ at her next two starts.
In addition, the “placed” 4yo half sister to our filly, Miss Personality debuted with a placing in town before going for a spell, then returned with 2 consecutive wins at her next and only starts. The unraced 3yo half sister won a trial and should be hitting the track soon.
Trainer
Michael Freedman was part of the famed, “FBI” – Freedman Brothers Incorporated, the team who trained so many superstars in the 80’s right through to the early 2000’s. He branched out in his own right when granted a licence to train in Singapore. There he won 468 races at a strike rate of 15%, with his best galloper during that period was the two-time Singapore Horse of the Year – Super Easy.
After a brief stint in Hong Kong, Freedman returned to Australia, where his stable included Golden Slipper runner-up Frolic. In 2019, Michael teamed up with his brother Richard under the banner of Freedman Brothers. During that time, based at Randwick, Michael oversaw the training of Golden Slipper winner Stay Inside, three-time Group 1 winner Forbidden Love and Group/feature race winners, Tiger Of Malay, Glistening, Queen Of The Ball & Prime Star.
Now training outright, he looks forward to continuing to deliver a first-class thoroughbred training service for all clients.
