A strong win by Sedanzer in the last at Kembla Grange yesterday to break her maiden in a dominant display. Well done to trainers Gai Waterhouse and Adrian Bott and also to Grant Buckley who picked up the ride late.
Sedanzer was purchased from the 2016 January Magic Millions Yearling Sale at $125,000 for the Gai Waterhouse stables. This was Blueblood’s first winner for the Waterhouse Partnership being our only runner and winner to date and we are extremely pleased with the result. Gai and Adrian had a fantastic weekend winning 4 races in total including the Group 1 Thousand Guineas with GLOBAL GLAMOUR (by Star Witness).
Sedanzer raced off-pace three wide throughout but sprinted quickly down the centre and exploded to the front at the 200m and hit the lead beating Usena by 2.3 lengths. She out classed them.
It was a good strong win. She stepped up to a suitable distance and we were expecting to see good improvement.
We are currently syndicating a Star Witness colt with Gai Waterhouse and all expressions of interest are welcome.
