A POWERFUL BRUTAL COLT FROM THE MOST SUCCESSFUL LINE CROSS SO FAR AT A BARGAIN PRICE. TRAINED BY BEN, WILL & JD HAYES.
We Has settled into Cavallo Park after arrivng there a little over a week afgo from the Inglis Classic sale. We’re givng him a little break before his commences his educational process breaking in preparation.
Introducing this Brutal-by-name and brutal in appearance colt… he is one imposing beast! With that barrel chest, broad sloping shoulder and twin turbo back end he definitely won’t be shirking the issue. The scary thing is there is still a stack of natural improvement to come being a late October foal!
He’s beautifully balanced and has a nice fluent action so will hopefully follow in his Father’s footsteps, Gr.1 Doncaster winner, Brutal.
He’s out of a dual City winning sprint mare, who won 4 races – one at 2. The Redoute’s Choice cross is the most successful with Brutal to date with 12 runners producing 6 wins.
Ben JD & WILL Hayes who train this colt have produced one the best of those being Gr3 winner, Jenni’s Meadow.
Brutal was himself a winner at 2 as too was the Dam of this colt, so considering his physique and what appears to be a nice even temperament, he looks very likely of getting a race saddle on him early!
At the price we’re confident you will get a lot of bang for your buck!
Sire
BRUTAL (NZ)
- Won the time-honoured Group 1 Doncaster Handicap in fewer starts than any horse in history
- Won the Main Everest lead up, the WFA Group 2 Premiere Stakes, defeating Classique Legend, Osborne Bulls, Graff, etc.
- Good enough to push Winx in the WFA Group 1 George Ryder Stakes while also clearing out form the rest of a high-class field
- Annihilated a quality field of 2YOs, including G1 winner Mystic Journey, by 5L at Caulfield in his first career start
- By a Champion Sire from a great family
- “Brutal is just one of those extra special horses that showed rare talent from day one and to win a Doncaster at just his seventh start is something that only the really exceptional ones can do.” – trainer John Hawkes.
Dam
CIAOThe Not A Single Doubt mare Ciao won 4 races. Of those 2 were in town and one as a 2yo. She has 3 to race for a winner and the unraced 2yo Bella Brutale is a full sister to our boy. She should begin her career shortly.
Trainer
The third generation of Hayes family sons proudly and officially took up the Lindsay Park training reins on 21 June 2021 when Ben was joined by his younger brother JD to form a training partnership and open a new era in the 74-year history of the Hayes family business. On August 2, 2023, they were joined by JD’s twin brother Will. Will Hayes played top level VFL and AFL football while still riding trackwork for Lindsay Park before getting his trainer’s license. As sons of David and grandsons of Colin Hayes, Ben, Will and JD have been finely educated in horsemanship and are firmly dedicated to continuing the integrity and success of the stable so the Hayes family tradition can continue. The Team finished 3rd on the National Trainers Premiership Seaosn 23/24.
We are thrilled to embark on this exciting journey with the Team at Lindsay Park. Fast horses, Best Trainers creates Group One Success!.
