GOLD MEDALLIST loves to win. In fact that’s all the 4yo Pierata mare, has done so far in her 3 start career.
The writing was on the wall when she came from nowhere on debut to fly home to score, then got the job done on a wet track when ridden up on the pace and today on a firmer track at Bendigo she picked them up and put them away in fine style.
Apprentice Luke Cartwright was full of praise for the lightly raced mare. He gave her a nice ride and the rest was done by her, she had the leaders in her sight and mowed them to win easily.
We couldn’t be happier with the job Peter Moody and Kat Coleman have done with Gold Medallist. They have rewarded her patient owners in spades so they will no doubt be on cloud 9 tonight.
She is proving to be a versatile, bombbroof mare and we cannot wait to see where she can get to in her career!
To think she’s from one of the best families in racing just makes you wonder how valuable she is already and what’s in store if she can snag some Black Type. Her 3rd dam is the Blue Hen mare Shantha’s Choice, Dam of Redoutes Choice, Manhattan Rain, Sliding Cube, Echoes of Heaven etc.
Gold Medallist is a classic example of the tough talented progeny Pierata produces… you must take a look at this filly by him trained by Tony Gollan – there’s only 2.5% left so don’t hesitate or you’ll miss out.
