After going close last start behind a promosing type, VIVID STORM was too good at start number two to swamp his rivals late at Caulfield today.
Although forced to race wide, he travelled well for Harry Coffey back in the field and after looming up out wide on the turn, he went right on with the job to reel in his rivals and win by three-quarters of a length at his second race start.
Harry Coffey was impressed with the colt and believes his calm temperament will take him a long way.
“That’s something we can use going forward, knowing he can go to the races and behave himself, saving the effort and the energy for when you need it at the end,” Coffey said.
“He’s actually a nice horse.
“He’s got a lovely stride, he uses himself well and covers the ground easily.”
A $60,000 Magic Millions purchase, he has already earnt over $71,000 from his first two starts.
