Latest Update | 25th August 2026
This colt is currently in training with Lloyd Kennewell. He had a nce little breeze up on 25th August. He is going the right way. He’s a strong colt and enjoys his work. Lloyd is looking forward to seeing how far he can get this preparation.

A FAST, INTELLIGENT COLT BEING SET TO DEBUT IN THE $200,000 LISTED DEBUTANTE STAKES AT CAULFIELD 14TH OCTOBER 2026.

LLOYD LOVES HIM SO MUCH HE TOOK 30% – NOW ONLY 70% AVAILABLE.

Lloyd Kennewell has been really pleased with the way this Home Affairs colt is developing and, importantly, with the attitude he is showing in his work.

He’s a strong, athletic colt with plenty of quality and is doing everything asked of him at this early stage. Lloyd likes the way he moves, the way he is handling his all before him and believes there is plenty to look forward to as he progresses.

And his pedigree gives us even more reason to be excited.

His sire HOME AFFAIRS was crowned Champion First Season Sire and has already made a massive early impact, headed by his Golden Slipper winning son, GUEST HOUSE.

On the dam side, he is out of ON A PROMISE, a daughter of champion racehorse and outstanding broodmare sire SAVABEEL. That influence gives this colt every chance to keep improving with maturity and suggests he may be more than just an early speed horse.

He has the pedigree and physical make-up to train on, develop into a quality three-year-old and potentially be the type of colt who could stretch out towards a Caulfield Guineas campaign.

This is exactly the type of young horse we love getting owners involved in — a top-class sire, a powerful broodmare sire influence, an exciting physical and a trainer who genuinely likes what he has before him.

Sire

HOME AFFAIRS

Home Affairs has announced himself as one of the most exciting young stallions in racing.

A brilliant son of Champion Sire I Am Invincible, Home Affairs possessed exceptional speed on the track, winning the Group 1 Coolmore Stud Stakes at Flemington and Group 1 Black Caviar Lightning, defeating older horses at weight-for-age. He retired to Coolmore as one of the most highly credentialled young stallions of his generation.

Home Affairs was crowned Champion First Season Sire in both Australia and New Zealand, producing 20 individual first-crop winners across the two countries. In Australia alone his progeny earned almost $5 million, putting him approximately $4 million clear of his nearest rival on the First Season Sires table.

Most importantly, his very first crop produced Golden Slipper winner GUEST HOUSE, giving Home Affairs a winner of Australia’s greatest two-year-old race immediately. In doing so, he joined an elite group of stallions, including Danehill and Extreme Choice, to sire a Golden Slipper-winning colt from their first crop.

His impact has been so immediate that his 2026 service fee has risen to $176,000, while his progeny are already commanding seven-figure prices in the sales ring.

Speed, precocity and genuine Group 1 quality — Home Affairs is already proving that he is capable of passing on the elite ability that made him such an outstanding racehorse.

Dam

ON A PROMISE

On A Promise is an unraced daughter of the legendary SAVABEEL and comes from a high-quality, proven black-type family.

She is out of Love And Kisses, a talented daughter of Encosta de Lago who won twice, including as a two-year-old, and was Group 1 placed in the AJC Sires’ Produce Stakes.

Love And Kisses was also runner-up in the Group 2 Furious Stakes and placed in the Group 2 Reisling Stakes, Group 3 Silver Shadow Stakes and Listed Angst Stakes.

The Savabeel influence on the dam side is a major attraction.

One of the great Australasian stallions of the modern era, Savabeel was a 10-time Champion New Zealand Sire and produced an extraordinary range of elite horses, from brilliant sprinters through to Guineas, Derby, Oaks and Cup performers.

There are also encouraging signs from On A Promise’s young progeny. Her Snitzel filly SWORN, trained by Gerald Ryan & Sterling Alexiou, has already been through the trial system and showed promise in her initial preparation before heading for a spell. Sworn is yet to race, so there is potentially plenty more to come from this young family.

For our Home Affairs colt, it’s an exciting combination. Home Affairs brings the speed and precocity, while having Savabeel as his broodmare sire gives the pedigree additional depth and provides reason to believe he can continue to develop as he matures.

It’s a pedigree that offers speed up front, but also the scope to train on and potentially develop into a quality three-year-old.

Trainer

LLOYD KENNEWELL

Lloyd Kennewell is one of Australia’s most accomplished and respected trainers, renowned for his ability to identify and develop high-class young horses.

A dual Group 1-winning trainer, highlighted by his outstanding mare Viddora, his stable has produced numerous stakes performers, with Lloyd building an excellent reputation for getting the best out of precocious two-year-olds and fast, progressive horses.

Operating from his impressive Cranbourne training base, Lloyd combines first-class facilities with a hands-on approach and places particular emphasis on giving young horses the education and grounding they need to fulfil their potential.

We already have a smart one with Lloyd in Eternal Warrior, and we’re excited to be strengthening that association with another quality colt.
