Blueblood Thoroughbreds is delighted to offer this beautifully bred Dundeel x Lunar Impact two year old colt, to be trained by the powerful Anthony & Sam Freedman stable.
There is an enormous amount to like about this colt.
He is by one of Australia’s elite stallions in Dundeel, while his dam Lunar Impact was a high class racemare who won the Group 3 Western Australian Oaks over 2400m.
Just as importantly, the early signs have been very encouraging.
Highly respected horseman Matt Vella was very upbeat about the colt following his breaking in preparation. He has since returned to Matt for a short educational prep, allowing him to refresh everything he learned while continuing his development before progressing to the next stage.
For a young horse, these early foundations are incredibly important and he has handled everything asked of him very well.
Combine that with an outstanding pedigree and the guidance of Anthony and Sam Freedman, and we believe we have a very exciting young colt on our hands.
Matt Vella was extremely pleased with this colt during his breaking in preparation and gave us a very encouraging report on the way he handled his early education.
Since then, the colt has returned to Matt for a short educational preparation, essentially refreshing everything he learned during the breaking in process and continuing to build the foundations he will need when he progresses into full training.
We place plenty of importance on Matt’s opinion. He has educated an outstanding number of top class racehorses over the years and knows exactly what you want to see from a young horse at this stage of his development.

AN ELITE RACEHORSE WHO HAS BECOME AN ELITE SIRE Dundeel needs very little introduction.
A brilliant racehorse himself, Dundeel won 10 races, including six at Group 1 level, with his victories highlighted by the Queen Elizabeth Stakes, Australian Derby, Rosehill Guineas and Australian Guineas.
He has subsequently developed into one of Australia’s most respected stallions.
His progeny include outstanding Group 1 performers such as Militarize, Celestial Legend, Castelvecchio, Super Seth, Hope In Your Heart and Aquacade, demonstrating his ability to produce elite horses across a range of distances.
What makes Dundeel particularly appealing is his ability to consistently inject class, toughness and versatility into his progeny.
This colt therefore has one of Australia’s most proven sources of Group 1 quality sitting directly on the top line of his pedigree.

GROUP 3 WINNING OAKS QUALITY
There is genuine racetrack performance on the dam side as well.
Lunar Impact, by Real Impact, was a talented staying mare who won the Group 3 Western Australian Oaks over 2400m and earned $167,780 in prizemoney.
That is an important ingredient in this colt’s pedigree. His dam didn’t simply possess an attractive pedigree herself, she demonstrated genuine black type ability on the racetrack.
Lunar Impact is from Moonsong, a two time winner by champion sire and exceptional broodmare sire Redoute’s Choice.
The family also includes Man Of Choice, a winner of two races who was runner up in the Group 2 Phar Lap Stakes and placed in the Group 1 Spring Champion Stakes and Group 3 Gloaming Stakes.
Further back is Playa Del Puente, a four time winner who earned more than HK$1 million and was runner up in the Group 1 Hong Kong Derby.
It gives this colt a pedigree packed with proven racetrack performance rather than simply fashionable names..

Nominations and Bonuses

Costings
Share Price Includes – Purchase Price, Clinical Examination and Mortality Insurance is covered up to the 31st May 2027.
The breaking-in fee and any other general related costs are not included in the share price. Any costs associated with nominations for Vobis, Blue Diamond and Golden Slipper have also not been included in the share price. These fees and charges will be invoiced separately on your monthly invoice, in due course.
Ongoing Expenses and MMF: The Ongoing Expenses consist of a $77 flat Monthly Management Fee (MMF) per owner, regardless of share percentage. The remainder of the fees are the Ongoing Expenses for the horse billed monthly, in arrears, which are split between the owners based on their percentage held. The following are estimated total monthly costs based on averages, as the Ongoing Expenses for the horse do vary depending on the current whereabouts of the horse i.e. training, spelling etc. The following amounts include both the $77 MMF and the average Ongoing Expenses combined:
- 2.5% – $162 estimated total monthly cost
- 5% – $247 estimated total monthly cost
- 10% – $417 estimated total monthly cost
Your first monthly fee will due on the 28th October 2026 (or the next business day if the 28th falls on a weekend or public holiday).
