About the trainer

The most dominant stable in Australian racing.

"Built on results."

Ciaron Maher is Australia's reigning champion trainer, topping the national premiership by both winners and prizemoney and surpassing $60 million in a single season.

From a country Victorian start in 2007, Maher built a national operation that now spans seven premium training bases. In partnership with David Eustace from 2018 to early 2024 he prepared more than 1,600 winners and 30 Group 1s — including Gold Trip's 2022 Melbourne Cup — before continuing solo as Ciaron Maher Racing.

With bases at Ballarat, the stable, Pakenham and Fingal in Victoria and Randwick, Warwick Farm and Bobs Farm in New South Wales, the stable gives owners genuine reach across the country's biggest race meetings.

Common questions

What new owners ask before buying in.

How does ownership through BBT actually work?

You purchase a share (typically 2.5%, 5% or 10%) in a specific horse. BBT manages the syndicate; Ciaron trains the horse. You receive your share of prizemoney and a clear monthly statement.

Can I visit the stable and meet Ciaron?

Yes — all BBT owners are invited to stable visits. Race-day hospitality is included for major meetings.

What are the ongoing costs?

Training fees are charged monthly based on your share. We disclose all costs upfront in the prospectus before you commit.

How long until my horse races?

Yearlings typically debut at 2 or 3. Ciaron is patient — we'd rather wait six weeks than rush a juvenile to its first start.

The next Group 1 horse won't wait.
