The stable that prepared the unbeaten Black Caviar — a Hall of Fame partnership operating from Pakenham. More than 60 Group 1 winners and a champion who retired 25 starts, 25 wins, the kind of horsemanship you want behind your next runner.
Peter Moody trained Black Caviar, the mare who retired unbeaten in all 25 starts with a record 15 Group 1 wins — and now trains in partnership with Kat Coleman from Pakenham.
Moody first held a licence in 1998 and went on to prepare more than 3,000 winners and 60-plus Group 1 victors, win four Melbourne trainers' premierships, and take Black Caviar to Royal Ascot in 2012 to win the Diamond Jubilee Stakes in front of the Queen. He was inducted into the Australian Racing Hall of Fame in 2025.
Since 2022 he has trained alongside Kat Coleman, a horsewoman who rose through the ranks of his operation. Together they run a boutique Pakenham stable that prizes individual care and patience over volume — the same approach that has produced champions such as Typhoon Tracy, Dissident and Incentivise.
