A master of the young horse and the man behind Snowden Racing. Former head trainer for Darley Australia, prepared of Everest hero Redzel and Golden Slipper winner Capitalist — decades of Group 1 craft now working for your next horse.
Peter Snowden is one of Australia's most accomplished trainers of young horses, a former head trainer for Darley Australia whose name now leads Snowden Racing at Royal Randwick.
A Scone-raised former jockey, Snowden took charge of Darley's Australian stable in 2008 and produced more than 1,300 winners and a swag of Group 1s for Sheikh Mohammed — including a historic 2011 clean sweep of all five juvenile Group 1 races with Sepoy, Helmet and Benfica.
In 2014 he launched Snowden Racing with his son Paul, a decade-long partnership that delivered Capitalist's 2016 Golden Slipper and Redzel's back-to-back wins in The Everest before Paul stepped back in 2024. Peter continues the stable solo from Royal Randwick and Flemington, still chasing the same results for owners.
