Strike A Pose kicked off his second preparation in the best possible fashion today, producing a sharp and professional first‑up victory over the 1300m at Hawkesbury.
After two tidy trials to bring him on, the Ciaron Maher Racing team had the gelding tuned and ready to go. He travelled throughout, settling in a rhythm that always had him poised to strike. As the field straightened, Shannen Llewellyn angled him into clear air and the response was immediate — Strike A Pose lengthened, and put the race to bed with a strong, sustained run to the line.
He drew away late to score by just under a length, a performance that not only highlights his progression but suggests there’s more to come as he builds through the preparation.
