Nathan Doyle is a young, Newcastle-based trainer whose boutique stable announced itself at the top level in 2025, when the unbeaten Private Harry carried him to a maiden Group 1.
Muswellbrook born and raised, Doyle spent five years in Sydney learning the trade alongside leading trainers Paul and Peter Snowden and Mark Newnham before setting out on his own. Doyle Racing began at Scone in 2019 and, as numbers grew, moved to Newcastle Racecourse to expand.
From a base with access to two grass tracks, a Polytrack and a sand track, Doyle runs a hands-on, results-driven operation known for a strong eye for a young horse. The 2025 G1 Galaxy with Private Harry — the first three-year-old to win the race since 2017 — marked the breakthrough, with the stable building toward bigger targets.
