FREE FOLK WINS ON DEBUT FOR A GROUP OF VERY HAPPY OWNERS

Making your debut is never an easy assignment in racing but FREE FOLK (Unencumbered x Folk Rock) conducted himself professionally and went through his gears to grab the leading pack late. After slightly missing the start Clayton Douglas settled the John and Chris Ledger trained gelding toward the back as the tempo was turned right up by the runaway leaders. As they straightened at Wodonga no one expected the chasing pack to make up the margin but as they tired our debutant picked them up and put the race away to the surprise of the race caller.

David Mourad commented “what a super win by Free Folk. I was a bit worried as Wodonga is generally suits on speed horses but they went pretty quick which gave us a chance. I thought it was an incredible display and a fantastic win. He can only improve and we are happy with the work put in by the Ledger Racing team. Very pleasing”.
