It was the perfect start for ZAVABOOM at the Sunshine Coast as he broke his maiden status on debut over the 1000m. He was well supported in the market and after a good getaway settled midfield under the watchful eye of James Orman. Upon straightening the 3YO son of Spirit Of Boom was in a tricky position on the inside but in an inexperienced field he was able to get the outside and show a superior finish as they tired. It was a professional display over the short course and he will take plenty of improvement out of the run as he looks for further.

The 2020 Inglis Classic graduate “Spirit Of Boom x Zavaroni” was snapped up from the Newgate Farm draft for $85,000 and looks set for a promising career in Queenland. It was Tony Gollan’s first winner for Blueblood Thoroughbreds and this is no surprise as he is one of the premier trainers in the country.

Congratulations to all involved
