On the biggest day of racing (Derby Day), it was even bigger for the connections of Vegas Strip who won first up at Traralgon in race 5 over 1100m.
She jumped well from barrier 6 and Jake Noonan eased her across to take up the running. She put in a solid performance, running strong through the line to win by one-and-a-quarter lengths to Fan The Breeze.
Mick Price commented, “It was a good gutsy win. She did a good job to lead first up and win. She’s a filly that’s got that spark about her and she goes good fresh.”
Vegas Strip now has 2 wins and 2 placings from 7 starts and her next start will be at Moonee Valley over 1200m for 3YO’s on 26th of November.
Well done to all the connections in Vegas Strip
