What a thrill it is having a horse win a Country Cup and that’s exactly what PROSPERO delivers today for his owners, saluting in the Tuncurry-Forster Cup by half a length.
It was a peach of a ride from Madi Derrick, sitting just off the speed, before finding clear air at the top of the straight, and the son of Pierro did the rest, moving through the gears quickly despite the heavy track.

A fantastic training effort from Nathan Doyle to have him fit and firing third up and we cannot wait to see him build upon this result.

This is the second Cup win for Bluebloods Thoroughbreds in the space of just 16 days, after Court Deep took out the Penshurst Cup just over 2 weeks ago.

Prospero (Pierro x Nova Star) improve his record to 20:5-5-1 and over $131k in prizemoney. He has proven to be a valuable purchase, after our bloodstock team picked him out for $50,000 at the 2017 Inglis Class Yearling Sale.

Congratulations to all involved
