It was a fantastic result for Blueblood Thoroughbreds as WHATAFOX (Foxwedge x Whatalovelyday) finished 2nd in today’s $300,000 Fillies Classic at Mooney Valley. The now very highly credentialed maiden had to sit off a stop/start tempo but under a patient ride she chased gamely as the Strawberry Hills Blueblood Mokulua (Redoute’s Choice x Dear Demi) dropped on them late.
WHATAFOX was Lot 165 at the Magic Millions Adelaide Yearling Sale and the $30,000 price tag is a credit to our bloodstock team who found her in a large catalogue. She came into this off a 2nd at Swan Hill and on Cox Plate Day almost got the job done.
It has been a super spring so far for Blueblood Thoroughbreds so far as the stakes performers make their mark.
